2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE (Germany). When you open a page, the server automatically processes technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system. This is necessary to run the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention follows the host’s settings.

The briefing form is loaded from our form system at mautic.sodium-energy.info when you open the page. Your IP address is transmitted to that server (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, function of the form).

3. Cookie banner and your choice

On your first visit we ask whether we may use marketing cookies. We store your choice in the technically necessary cookie “cc_cookie” (up to 182 days). Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. “Accept all” and “Necessary only” carry equal weight.

4. Briefing request (contact form, Mautic)

When you submit the form we process the details you enter (for example first name, last name, email address, optionally phone number, message and your role) to answer your request, send you the technical briefing by email and contact you with follow-up questions. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (your request) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling enquiries from interested parties).

We also store campaign parameters from the link you used to reach the site (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term and the Google click ID gclid, where present). This shows us which ad led to an enquiry.

The data is stored in our form system Mautic at mautic.sodium-energy.info. We keep it as long as needed to handle your request and as legal retention duties require; then we delete it.

Recipients are our technical service providers (hosting, email delivery) where they are needed to operate the service.

5. Google Ads: measuring enquiries (only with consent)

If you accept “Marketing”, we load the Google Ads tag of Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC. It sets cookies (for example “_gcl_au”, “_gcl_aw”) and sends data such as IP address, click ID, page viewed and time to Google, to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry. We do not use the data for personalised advertising; “ad_personalization” stays disabled.

Without your consent the Google tag is not loaded and no data is sent to Google. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future through “Cookie settings”.

A transfer to Google in the USA is possible. To our knowledge Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Our seat in Paraguay

The controller is based in Paraguay and accesses the stored data from there. The European Commission has not adopted an adequacy decision for Paraguay.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Please write to the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live (Art. 77 GDPR).

There is no automated decision-making, including profiling. Providing your data in the form is voluntary; without the required details we cannot handle your request.
